Ionantha are one of the most common species within the epiphyte family of Tillandsia and is native to Central and South America and mostly lives in desert-like climates.
Air Plants get the majority of their nutrients from the air. They are low maintenance plants and are a very nice green addition to brighten any setting or room.
Mist your air plants in accordance to the weather, more often when it is hot and dry and less often when it is cold, damp or dark. Plants should be soaked in water once every two weeks, depending on weather conditions.
Air plants go through life cycles. Most plants will start to change colour as they prepare to bloom. That means they are getting ready to produce a flower, which are often extremely fragrant and sweet.
